Professional Ajax – Amazon’s #8 best tech book of 2006!
Just got pinged by my editor Jim about this: Top 10 Editors’ Picks: Computers & Internet. If you scroll down to #8, you’ll see Professional Ajax!
Words can’t describe how excited I am about this. To be on this list is amazing, and the fact that it’s the only Ajax book on the list makes it even more impressive. I wish there was a small writeup to describe why each book was chosen, but still, this is an incredible honor, and one that wouldn’t have been possible without my co-authors Jeremy and Joe. Everyone worked really hard on this, and this honor really is a payoff for all that work.

Congrats on the ‘award’. Glad to see that the editors at amazon.com know what they’re talking about when reviewing books. Is it a little surreal seeing your picture on a book in a top 10 list?

Most excellent! Congrats. It’s my book of choice, and I’m brainwashing, er teaching 18 high school kids next semester the joys of AJAXin’ and it’s gonna be the text…..

Thanks guys.
Kevin – it’s surreal seeing my face on a book, period. My buddies give me a never-ending amount of crap about it (and truth be told, I’d much rather my photo not be on the cover). Just to see something I’ve worked on be appreciated by "people who know" in such a public forum is an incredible feeling.
Mike – Always great to hear from you and how you’re using my work. Hopefully you’ll like it enough to use the second edition when it comes out, too.

Fricking Sweeeet! Congrats, bro!

Congratulations! You deserve that. I feel that "Professional JavaScript for Web Developers" is an unvaluable resource. I found myself browsing it almost all the time… and, while "Professional AJAX" was a pleasure to read, the technologies it covers are in most aspects a trend, and nothing completely new after all… Will you reveal -now being happy-what that famous book you are working on is about?

Congratulations! That’s great news! Must remember to have you sign my copy…you know, before you get TOO famous!

Congrats! Must have been a nice surprise yesterday. On the other hand, it was a great book and deserves it so you shouldn’t be surprised. I like reading a book where you feel like enough was skipped to get you into it fast but still covered what you needed and your book fit the bill nicely.
