Professional Ajax at Borders
I’m not sure if there’s many people left who buy tech books in the old brick-and-mortar stores, but if you’re one of those people, swing by your nearest Borders bookstore to pick up your copy of Professional Ajax, 2nd Edition. There’s a special promotion going on through July 5th. What does that mean exactly? Not sure, but if you don’t go out and buy one before July 4th, it means you’re unpatriotic. Kidding! Happy advanced Fourth to everyone (::cough:: buy the book ::cough::).

Does the author make more jack on the deal? (Wouldn’t that be sweet…) I actually need one more copy, so I’ll bounce into Borders and use a gift card I got for XMas…. I’ll report back as to what the deal is.
Nobody calls me unpatriotic!
BTW: been digging into GWT a bit here at work. Would love to hear your unabashed opinion on it……

Sadly, the authors get only the same amount per book no matter where or how they’re sold. A shame, I know.
As for GWT, I haven’t dug too deep into it. I generally don’t like the idea of writing Java to write JavaScript…JavaScript is not like assembly, and the further you remove developers from it the less good JavaScript programmers there will be.
